Miri City Fan
Built in stages in the mid 1990s and completed by the late 1990s, Miri City Fan is a unique fan-shaped (when viewed from the air) urban civic public park, it is about 26 acres is carefully sited in the hub of sports, educational and cultural facilities of Miri.

The City Fan is designed to create civic consciousness by the embodiment of several symbolic parks. It is a world-class urban civic park with the setting for sport, educational and cultural activities. It includes a promenade, parkland, an amphitheater, musical fountain, a library and cultural center and various ethnic gardens. The 10.4-hectare park was accorded the country's best landscaped city park.

The City Fan mainly consists of 10 areas, these include: Civic Center, Civic Promenade, Musical Fountain, Garden of Vision, Islamic Garden, Botanical Garden, Miri Multimedia Library, Formal Garden, Public Swimming Pool, Chinese Garden, and Health Garden, respectively.


Taman Awam Miri (Miri Public Park)
Taman Awam Miri or simply known as the Miri Public Park is about 3km from the city center along the Miri-Bintulu Road.

There are flora gardens, souvenir center, canteen, observatory platform, children's playground, exhibitions room, stone carving and sculptures, waterfalls, suspension bridge, fountains, pavilions, jogging track and other sporting facilities.

There is also a children's water playground as a major attraction feature and two separate children's playground areas. The water playground is a large pool about 2 feet deep at its nearest, with large playground water slides and water fountain features in the center that allow children to wade in the pool and play safely. Parental supervision is still required. Water from the top of the fountain near the food stalls forms a waterfall into the children's pool, and the footpath leads with scenic bridges built over it. The other two non-water playgrounds consist of the usual slides, see-saws, sliding poles, climbing nets and simulated zip-lines.

The park also have a skate park at the far corner of the park entrance for extreme-style skating, grinding and roller-blading, skateboard, BMX and other forms of gravity sports fans. It Consists of half-pipes, quarter pipes ramps and the usual skating park terrain builds and ramps.

A pedestrian bridge with Giant Sea Horse on both ends of the bridge connecting to the rock outcrop across Miri-Bintulu Road for more uphill/downhill jogging activities.


Taman Bunga (Flower Garden)
The flower garden in Miri is known as Taman Bunga which means flower park or flower garden. It is very conveniently located in the heart of Miri at Asrama Road just opposite the Miri Post Office. It's a small park with a variety of plants and flowers with their names, characters, and species displayed and pathways around a small pond.

Taman Bulatan (Bulatan Park)
Bulatan Park is a public park located off the corner of the Pujut roundabout at Boulevard Commercial Center, next to Desa Seri residential area.

The park was made with a large man-made lake with, clock tower in the middle of the lake connected with bridge and walking or running track for the public. The park is a very popular with joggers and bicyclists.

The parks also have a fountain, playground and some shops.
